Indra Hang briefs MoS on Sikkim’s potential in wellness tourism

GANGTOK,: Sikkim Lok Sabha MP Indra Hang Subba met Prataprao Jadav, MoS for AYUSH and Health ministries at New Delhi on Thursday discuss Sikkim's progress in the implementation of Centrally sponsored schemes related to the health and wellness sectors.

During the meeting, the Lok Sabha MP apprised the MoS of the State’s success in effectively implementing various central schemes under the Ministry of AYUSH. He also highlighted the proactive role played by the Sikkim government and the Chief Minister’s Office in facilitating medical treatment for Sikkimese patients, both within and outside the State, ensuring better healthcare accessibility for all, a press release informs.

Indra Hang further emphasized that Sikkim, known for its pristine environment and cleanliness, is an ideal location for the establishment of wellness centers and the promotion of AYUSH practices. He stressed the State’s potential as a hub for wellness tourism and traditional healing practices, given its natural surroundings and commitment to sustainability.

In conclusion, Indra Hang extended an invitation to the MoS to visit Sikkim and explore the opportunities for furthering AYUSH research and practice in the State.
