GANGTOK,: “Today is a red letter day for all those who have stood against corruption, braved against tyranny, nepotism and brutality of Trinamool Ghotala Govt. Justice has finally been served to the qualified youths who had been denied employment, to accommodate unqualified TMC cadres,” said BJP national spokesperson Raju Bista on Monday.

Bista, also the Darjeeling Lok Sabha candidate, was commenting on the order given by the Calcutta High Court for the dismissal of nearly 25000 teachers, who had been recruited in government and government-aided schools across West Bengal. These teachers were recruited because of nepotism, their closeness to TMC leaders, and in majority of the cases after paying hefty bribes to the TMC leaders and ministers, he said.

“I welcome this decision by the Hon'ble High Court, this is a very positive news for our qualified youths, who have struggled against a corrupt system, and refused to give up despite threats of physical violence, violence against their family members, political pressure, greed and attempts at bribing them by TMC leaders,” said Bista.

“However, I feel that majority of these candidates were pressured by the system of bribery created by the TMC government. Since the High Court has ordered to dismiss the teachers recruited illegally, I strongly feel that for the justice to truly prevail, the State government that created this system compelling the teacher aspirants to bribe their way in, should also be dismissed in a similar manner. Those who created illegalities should not be allowed to continue governing the State anymore,” said Bista.
