GANGTOK, : Sikkim Dragons suffered its first loss when they were defeated 1-2 by Thunderbolt NU in a SPL match at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok on Wednesday. T. Lhendup Bhutia (56th min) and Adarsh Tamang (86th min) scored for the North side while Jakob V scored one goal for Sikkim Dragons in added time.
With this loss, Sikkim Dragons’ winning streak in the SPL campaign comes to an end. The club still leads the table with 12 points (four wins, one defeat).
Thunderbolt NU also climbs to joint table top – but has a lower goal difference – with 12 points from five matches (four wins, one defeat).
Meanwhile, Singling SC maintained its winning momentum with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Roaring Leopard FC in a SPL match at Bhaichung Stadium, Namchi.
Roshan Subba, Jir Jar Terang and M. Shokhrukh were the goalscorers for Singling SC.
Obeb Owuru and Pranit Tamang scored for Roaring Leopard FC.
With this victory, Singling SC has collected 12 points from six games while Roaring Leopard FC has five points from six matches.
