GANGTOK,: Thunderbolt North United came from a goal down to secure a 3-1 victory over Gyalshing United in a Sikkim Premier League match at Bhaichung Stadium on Sunday. With this third win in as many matches, the Thunderbolts sit on top of the league with 9 points.
Abhi Rai had given the lead for the Gyalshing side in the 49th minute. The Thunderbolts came back strongly to equalize in 59th minute with the goal scorer being Sonam Z. Bhutia. Roman Subba put the North side ahead in 72nd minute followed by the third goal coming from T. Lhandup.
At Paljor Stadium in Gangtok, Roaring Leopard FC, Pakyong registered its first win in the Sikkim Premier League with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Sinolchu FC, Namchi on Sunday at Paljor Stadium. Michael Pradhan scored a brace while Ong T. Lepcha scored one goal for the Pakyong side’s victory.
Nasry Jr pulled one goal back for the Namchi side.
Roaring Leopard has climbed to third position of the league with four points (one loss, one draw and one win).
Sinolchu FC languishes at the bottom of the table with only one point.
