Every year 23rd January is celebrated as "Netaji Jayanti" (Birthday of Subhash Chandra Bose). We all are aware of his activities during our freedom struggle and sacrifice for our "Independence" though he had conflict of interests with the other freedom fighters especially in the Congress party as far as his aggressive attitude towards British Government and to achieve "Independence" is concerned. Unfortunately, his ideology and leadership was not accepted by our leaders which includes Gandhiji, Jawaharlal Nehru, Savarkar and many more. But his ideology was wholeheartedly welcomed by the common people of our country for the sake of independence.
Eminent film maker Shyam Benegal has rightly named his "Biopic" on Netaji with the title "Bose-The Forgotten Hero".

Another such place on the list is the "Netaji Bhawan" in Kolkata. This place used to be where Netaji stayed in Kolkata and ran away from in disguise to Germany and later Japan. Today the house is under the "Netaji Research Bureau" and is used as a library & museum.

The Supreme Court declined to consider a plea on 14th November, 2022 to declare Netaji Subash Chandra Bose's birthday anniversary, January 23rd, as National Holiday. The court said the best way to celebrate is by working hard, “Just as he worked hard for freedom”.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was a brilliant scholar and qualified "Indian Civil Service" with flying colours but refused to join under "British Government" and decided to join our "Freedom Stuggle". His life is a great example of leadership from which modern Indian leaders can learn many lessons.

Subhas Chandra Bose was a participant of the non-cooperation movement and a leader of the Indian National Congress. He was a part of the more militant wing and known for his advocacy of socialist policies. The title 'Netaji' was given to Subhas Chandra Bose by German and Indian officials at the Special Bureau of India in Berlin. He is considered as the most influential freedom fighter with extraordinary leadership skills and a charismatic orator. He was brave and a great diplomat as well. He was a patriot of patriots. Bose led the INA from the front and fought alongside his soldiers in battles against the British. One example of Bose's leadership was his ability to motivate and inspire his followers. He believed in leading by example and was always willing to put himself in harm's way for the cause of India's independence.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was inspired by only two great personalities. One is Swami Vivekananda, who was his spiritual Guru, and the second person was freedom fighter Deshbandhu Chitranjan Das, who was his political mentor.
