SILIGURI,: Two UPSC toppers from Bagdogra were felicitated in an interaction
programme at Danra Gaon Bagdogra on Saturday.
The
students of Danra Gaon village on Sunday interacted with Gautam Thakuri and
Ajay Moktan regarding the success behind the achievement.
Before the
interaction programme, the duo were warmly welcomed and felicitated by the
local society secretary Ganesh Pradhan and president Ramesh Acharya.
During the
interaction programme, students from class five to XII asked several questions
on the preparation for such examinations while the Thakuri and Moktan shared
their experiences on the journey to success.
“The
success behind we three toppers from North Bengal was the environment to study
and prepare for the examination. We three studied in colleges and universities
where the environment was appropriate for gaining success, the friend circle,
neighbours, teaching faculties and everything helped us to clear UPSC,” said
Thakuri.
Meanwhile
Moktan highlighted on dedication and perception but not putting pressure during
study. He said, “If you think you can then only go for preparation otherwise
there are several platforms other than civil administration services.”
He also
suggested parents not to put pressure on their children in studies and let them
choose their own way but give guidelines from negative elements.
