GANGTOK,: CAP Sikkim chief coordinator Ganesh K Rai on Saturday paid a courtesy
visit to former Speaker KN Rai at his residence in Jarrong, South Sikkim.
During the
visit, Rai extended his warm regards and inquired about the health and
well-being of the former Speaker, a CAP Sikkim release informs.
KN Rai,
also a senior SDF leader, had been viciously assaulted at Melli on March 1 by
alleged SKM workers. He spent more than one month in a private hospital in New
Delhi for treatment and returned home on the eve of elections here.
Amidst
heartfelt conversations, the CAP Sikkim chief coordinator expressed his
concerns regarding the recent brutal attack on KN Rai at Melli. He emphasized
the need for ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, especially those
actively involved in public service and politics, the release informs.
Accompanying
Ganesh K Rai were CAP Sikkim leaders who joined in extending their support and
solidarity to KN Rai during this challenging time.
The visit
underscored the spirit of unity and compassion within the political fraternity,
highlighting the importance of standing together in times of adversity, said
