GANGTOK, (IPR):In preparation for the upcoming
Golden Jubilee celebrations marking 50 years of Sikkim’s Statehood, Chief
Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay conducted a comprehensive inspection of
several major construction and renovation sites across the State on Tuesday.
The inspection focused on
infrastructure upgrades, venue development, and the enhancement of public
spaces intended to host various programmes and activities during the historic
celebration. The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of ongoing projects,
assessed the quality of work, and evaluated timelines to ensure timely
completion. He also interacted with officials, engineers, and workers on-site,
encouraging them to maintain high standards and meet project deadlines.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister
highlighted the significance of the Golden Jubilee, calling it a moment of
great pride for every Sikkimese. “Our aim is to ensure that every aspect of the
celebration reflects the progress, unity, and cultural richness of our state. I
commend the commitment of those working tirelessly to make this event truly
memorable,” he stated.
The Golden Jubilee of Sikkim’s
Statehood will be celebrated with a series of events and programmes, including
the much-anticipated Kuzu Cultural Festival 2025, scheduled from May 1 to May
10.
