GANGTOK, (IPR): Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay extended his heartiest
congratulations to three young achievers from Dzongu who have excelled in their
respective fields. He met and interacted with them, applauding their hard work
and dedication.
Among
them, Marmit Lepcha, daughter of Penzang Lepcha from Taryang, Lower Dzongu, has
been selected as a football coach and is set to travel to the Czech Republic,
Europe. Her achievement brings immense pride to the State, and the Chief
Minister wished her great success in this remarkable journey.
Similarly,
he had the pleasure of meeting Leesong Lepcha, daughter of Phur Tshering Lepcha from
Lingzya, Upper Dzongu, who topped the Chief Minister’s Meritorious Scholarship
Scheme (CMMSS) 2025. She will be pursuing her education at
Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Madhya Pradesh.
Another
bright student, Suknyim Lepcha, daughter of Pema Lepcha from Hee Gyathang, Lower
Dzongu, has also passed the CMMSS examination and will be joining
Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya for her further studies.
The
Chief Minister extended his best wishes to both students, as well as all the
other successful candidates selected through the scholarship scheme this year.
Expressing
his gratitude, the Chief Minister acknowledged the efforts of minister for
Forest and Environment and MLA of Dzongu constituency,
Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, for his continuous support and dedication in encouraging
young talents in the region.
