Five from Sikkim attendsLetsVenture conclave for startup investors

GANGTOK, : Under the Sikkim INSPIRES programme, a delegation of founders from five startups of the State led by the Commerce & Industries department officers participated at the LetsIgnite 2025 event at Bengaluru as the official State Partner.

The 10th edition of the event organized by LetsVenture, is India’s premium curated conclave for startup investors that brings together Angel Investors, VC funds, HNIs, family offices, operators and successful entrepreneurs from India and beyond, a press release on Friday informs.

Till date, LetsVenture has facilitated over $140M in funding for 650+ startups, building a portfolio valued at an impressive $11.5B+ through a global network of 20,000+ investors from 60 countries. They have invested over Rs. 1100 Cr through SEBI registered Angel AIF for 900+ startup deals holding 33% of the total market share in the county.

Five startups fromSikkim include OurGuest, Crafted Fibres, Spaced Revision, Katana Movement Studio and O2. They had a dedicated stall space to showcase their products and services and also met over 85 investors through speed dating sessions and networking events. Three of the startups namely Spaced Revision, Katana Movement Studio and O2 have women as founders and co-founders from Sikkim, the release mentions.

Setting up of a Startup ecosystem in the state is one of the priority areas of Commerce & Industries department under the Sikkim INSPIRES Programme. An innovation hub as well as incubation/acceleration centres are being set up and the State will soon also be rolling out the Sikkim Startup Policy which will be providing various support and incentives to the registered startups of the State.

This is the first time that a delegation of startups from Sikkim have participated in a global event of this scale and the objective of the department is to facilitate potential funding, mentorship and networking which are the primary requirements of any startup, the release mentions.
