Food Point inaugurated at West Point Mall

GANGTOK,: Urban Development minister Bhoj Raj Rai today inaugurated ‘Food Point,’ a multi-cuisine hub featuring numerous international food brand outlets, located on the fourth floor of West Point Mall in Gangtok.

Addressing the gathering, minister Bhoj Raj Rai expressed his delight at the addition of ‘Food Point’ to Gangtok’s growing urban infrastructure. “It is matter of happiness for Gangtokians to have numerous international food brand outlets in the town itself.”

He highlighted the employment opportunities generated by the new facility, stating that over 450 local youths have been employed, ensuring job opportunities for skilled manpower at their doorstep. Rai also commended the management for adhering to government directives on environmental responsibility by avoiding the use of plastic items for serving food.

The minister urged the management to prioritize local employment in all outlets across the mall and maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food quality. He encouraged residents and visitors alike to experience the array of delicacies offered at ‘Food Point.’

Shubham Malu, a representative of West Point Mall, said the Food Point has top international food brands like McDonald’s, KFC, Subway, Domino’s and Pizza Hut.
