Indian youths in Israel raise funds for kidney transplant of Bagdogra youth

SILIGURI,: The Indian youths working in Israel have come forward to save the life of 24-year-old Bikram Biswakarma of Bagdogra.

Bikram’s both kidneys have failed and he needs an immediate transplant for survival.

His father, Pradeep Biswakarma, a driver by profession, agreed to donate one kidney but the family lacks resources to fund the surgery.

After an appeal through social media, youths from India working in Israel have raised funds for Bikram.

Social workers Indra Kumar Rai and Gobind Tamang on Saturday handed over a cheque of Rs. 45,340 to the family members that were sent by the youths from Israel in their personal accounts.

Few days back, Chandan Sitoula, founder of Gorkha Empowercare, Israel, had donated Rs. 10,000 for the treatment of Bikram.
