SINGTAM,: Oviya Art Circle Sikkim recently undertook a voluntary initiative
to beautify the indoor walls of District Hospital, Singtam. The project, which
aimed to promote cleanliness and awareness, was completed over the weekend of
November 30 and December 1.
Led by
president Deepa Rai, the team of artists, including vice president Sagar Subba,
secretary Diwakar Lamichaney, active members Kiran Gurung and Vinod Darnal, dedicated
their time and skills to transform the hospital’s interior.
Rai expressed
gratitude to the hospital’s medical superintendent and other officials for
their support and recognition of the positive impact of art on the healthcare
environment.
The Oviya Art
Circle Sikkim is known for its commitment to community service and has
undertaken numerous beautification projects in remote areas of Sikkim,
including schools and ICDS centres. By incorporating art into public spaces,
the organization seeks to inspire and uplift the community, the organisation
said.
