15th Foundation Year celebrations of Siddheswar Dham

NAMCHI, (IPR): The week-long celebration marking the 15th Foundation Year of Siddheswar Dham commenced today at Namchi with the inauguration of the Shrimad Bhagavat Week Gyan Mahayagya.The ceremonial inauguration began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a warm welcome to guests.

The occasion was graced by revered Jagatguru Ananta Bidhushtu Balshanta Mohan Sharan Devacharya Maharaj Shree, along with Pandit Bihari Sharan Upadhyaya (Katha Wachak) and Pandit Narayan Neopane (Uppa Kathawachak), who had travelled from Nepal for the event.

Minister for Rural Development and Cooperation departments, Arun Upreti, attended as the chief guest.

In his address during the 15th Solophok Siddheswar Dham Mahotsav, he warmly welcomed all devotees and expressed deep reverence for the esteemed spiritual leaders present. He stated that he had come not as a dignitary, but as a humble devotee, and felt blessed to receive the grace of Jagatguru Maharaj Shree.

He also encouraged all attendees to participate in the week-long spiritual discourses to gain valuable insights and wisdom from the revered gurus. He congratulated the organising committee for their dedication and efforts in hosting such a significant religious event.

In his spiritual message, Jagatguru Ananta Bidhushtu Balshanta Mohan Sharan Devacharya Maharaj Shree expressed his joy at being in Namchi, a land where all four Dhams are represented collectively at Siddheswar Dham.

He remarked that the people of Sikkim are truly fortunate to have the sacred rivers Teesta and Rangeet flowing through the State, offering devotees the divine opportunity to purify themselves through a holy dip.

Moreover, he remarked that the people of Sikkim need not journey to sacred sites for blessings, as the land is already graced by the presence of the divine.

During the event, the welcome speech was delivered by NM Sharma, ADM Char Dham, who also gave a brief introduction of the pilgrimage site.

One of the main highlights of the programme was the Kalash Yatra, a religious procession led by devotees around the Char Dham premises.

The ceremony also featured the official release of a religious text titled “Teesta Nadhi ra Sikkim Rajyako Sastriya Nirupan”, authored by Jagatguru Ananta Bidhushtu Balshanta Mohan Sharan Devacharya Maharaj Shree.

The event witnessed the presence of Bhoj Raj Rai- minister for Urban Development and Food & Civil Supplies departments (chairman Puja Committee), Satish Chandra Rai - Area MLA Namchi-Singithang (vice-chairman Puja Committee), NB Pradhan- Area MLA Melli constituency, Ganesh Rai - chairman NMC (vice-chairman Puja Committee), Anupa Tamling-DC Namchi (working president Puja Committee), Nim Pintsho Bhutia- SDM (HQ), Saran Kalikotey-SDM Namchi (joint secretary Puja Committee),HoOs from line departments, senior supervisor cum coordinator Chardham Damber Subba,organising committee, and a large gathering of devotees.
