9-y-o Sikkimese singer needs public votes to win ‘The Voice Kids’

GANGTOK,: Dritika Pradhan, a nine-year-old from Sombaria, West Sikkim, has qualified the battle round of ‘The Voice Kids - Season 3’, the junior version of Nepal’s singing reality show ‘The Voice of Nepal’. She is now in the voting round of the reality show.

Different artists’ organizations, institutions and individuals have come together to support the young singer and have appealed to the public to support Dritika by voting for her.

In a press meet held today, Reeyaaz Sangeetalaya proprietor Manoj Rai informed that Dritika, who was among the top-eight contestants at Sikkim Idol, has qualified the battle round of The Voice Kids and is now in need of support from Sikkim. “Dritika is a young, bright and talented singer from Sikkim. Over the years, Sikkim has had many national and international reality show winners and it is time we make Dritika the winner. She is now in the voting round and needs support. Each vote matters,” he said.

Remanti Sangeet Academy proprietor Remanti Rai stated that since the voting mobile apps are complicated, the Sikkimese public can support Dritika by transferring money into her mother Reshma Pradhan’s bank account via GPay at +91 6297893338. “Each vote costs Rs. 10 INR and people can contribute as much as they want. The money transferred will be used to vote for Dritika by her parents. Since it is a kid’s reality show, the grand finale will be held in August so there is very little time to vote, so all are requested to show some support by contributing money,” she said.

The episodes will be telecasted every Friday and Saturday.

The press meet was also attended by Dynamic Flickers proprietors Passang Sherpa and Dilu Tamang, dancer Mingma D. Lepcha, theatre artist Suman Rai and former Voice of Nepal contestant Rewash Gurung.
