GANGTOK, : Shenpenn Khymsar, a Tibetan filmmaker born and raised in Darjeeling,
has won a prestigious award for “the best soundtrack in a feature film” at the
Julian Dubuque International Film Festival in Iowa, USA for his feature film ‘Four
Rivers Six Ranges’ (4R6R).
After
a successful World Premiere at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam in
Netherlands, 4R6R wings best music at the Julian Dubuque International Film Festival
in the USA, a press release informs.
ShenpennKhymsar,
who wrote, produced, composed music and directed the film said: “This award for
the best music is for the trauma of Broken Wings”
The
film ‘Four Rivers Six Ranges’ is set to screen in major cities in US and Canada
this May, Europe in June and all over India in July/August.
Shenpenn
along with his core team has already begun pre-production work for his next
epic film which will be the first Himalayan Vampire movie ever made, it was
informed.
