CM to lay foundation stone of Manghim-Limboo Bhawan at Singtam on Jan 28

GANGTOK,: Chief Minister PS Golay is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of the Manghim and Limboo Bhawan at Singtam on January 28.

This was informed by the Yakthung Tonjo Songjumvo (YTS) Singtam foundation laying ceremony committee at a press meet here Monday.

Committee president Bhaskar Hang Subba expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and the State government for providing a site at the old food godown to the YTS Singtam for the development of the Manghim and Limboo Bhawan.

“The demand for a Manghim and Limboo Bhawan at Singtam is very old and when the executive of YTS approached the Chief Minister, he immediately accorded approval to our request. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Chief Minister for this gift to the Limboo community,” said Bhaskar Hang.

He informed that the Chief Minister would be laying the foundation stone of the Maghim and Limboo Bhawan at Singtam on January 28. We appeal to the Limboo community and all other communities to witness this ceremony, he said.

Committee treasurer Nandalal Subba shared the technical details of the seven-storied building that would have a Manghim at the top and rest would be the bhawan with the required amenities. The project is tentatively estimated to cost about Rs. 15 crore and we are hopeful that the government will extend all possible financial assistance to complete it, he said.

The press conference was also attended by general secretary Nishant Subba, vice president Dipendra Subba and other executive members.
