GANGTOK, (IPR): Chief secretary VB Pathak chaired a meeting regarding the
preparedness of the Golden Jubilee celebrations in the State at Tashiling
Secretariat on Tuesday.
The
meeting had the presence of R Telang, additional chief secretary, Education,
along with HoDs of various departments.
The
meeting brought together department heads and officers to deliberate on several
significant matters. Among the key topics discussed were the designs for
mementoes and commemorative coins, reflecting a focus on symbolic and
meaningful representations.
The
project arrangements of Power department, Buildings and Housing department,
Sports and Youth Affairs department, and Education department were discussed in
detail, ensuring adequate planning and seamless implementation. In parallel,
town planning and urban development strategies were also discussed to ensure
that infrastructure aligns with long-term goals. Security plans were comprehensively
discussed highlighting a strong focus on safety and preparedness.
The chief secretary
steered the discussions, seeking updates on departmental projects and plans,
emphasising accountability and progress. Budgetary allocations and financial
planning were extensively deliberated ensuring efficient resource utilisation
and alignment with developmental priorities.
The
meeting covered a broad spectrum of important topics, emphasising meticulous
planning and inter-departmental coordination.
