GANGTOK,: Denzong Agricultural Cooperative Society (DACS) chairman RK Waling
along with DACS managing director Dhiraj Pradhan held a meeting with the deputy
inspector general, ITBP at its Gangtok sector headquarters here on Tuesday.
The
discussion focused on the potential expansion of DACS's business collaboration
with the ITBP, a press release informs.
DACS, the
Apex Co-operative Society of Sikkim, has long been associated with catering of
ration requirements of the Indian Army stationed in strategic locations across
Sikkim. The organization now seeks to extend its services to support the
paramilitary forces operating in the region.
Despite
the challenges posed by frequent landslides during rainy season that disrupt
the highways connecting Sikkim to the rest of the country, DACS managing
director Dhiraj Pradhan assured the DIG that DACS is fully committed to
ensuring the uninterrupted supply of essential rations to both the Indian Army
and paramilitary forces.
The
meeting concluded on a positive note for the proposed collaboration, the
release mentions.
