GANGTOK,: Extreme
Underground Sikkim (EUS) organised a heavy metal concert here at Café Live
& Loud recently. The event aimed to promote the genre of heavy metal music
among the people of Sikkim.
Founded
in 2016 by a group of like-minded individuals, Extreme Underground Sikkim has
been curating a diverse range of heavy metal events for eight years.
The
organisation's mission is to bring the raw power and unbridled intensity of
heavy metal music to the serene landscapes of Sikkim.
EUS
successfully transcended geographical boundaries by inviting bands from across
the globe, including the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Japan, and Nepal.
Speaking
with SIKKIM EXPRESS, EUS president Ashish Biswakarma said, "Our journey
has been characterised by resilience, creativity, and a relentless pursuit of
the extraordinary. We have weathered challenges, celebrated triumphs, and evolved
with each passing year”.
The
cause of promoting heavy metal music has been carried out for years, but due to
the lack of support, mainly in the field of venue and sponsorship, it has been
a great hustle, he added.
The
collaborative spirit that defines Extreme Underground Sikkim is a testament to
the shared love for heavy metal that binds our team together, Ashish said.
The
event was a huge success, with fans from across Sikkim and beyond thronging
Café Live n Loud to witness the electrifying energy of heavy metal music.
The
organisation's commitment to providing a platform for both local and
international heavy metal acts has set them apart as a formidable force in the
realm of event organisation in Gangtok.
As
Extreme Underground Sikkim continues its musical odyssey, it extends its
gratitude to the passionate heavy metal community in Sikkim and beyond.
