GANGTOK,: Party founder Ganesh K. Rai was on Saturday elected unopposed as
the Citizen Action Party (CAP) Sikkim president. He was serving the party as
its chief coordinator since it was launched on January 26, 2023.
Rai is
now the third president of CAP Sikkim after founding president LP Kafley and
veteran politician Bharat Basnett.
The
election result was announced during a high-level meeting at CAP Sikkim
headquarters here.
In his
address, the newly elected CAP Sikkim president committed to work while giving
top respect to the contributions rendered by the past two presidents. He urged
the party workers to stay united, a press release informs.
