GANGTOK,: Chief Minister & SKM president PS Golay on Friday issued a signed
nine guarantees to the people of Sikkim to be achieved in the second term of
the SKM government. He signed the ‘Golay ko Guarantee’ in a legal document
while releasing it during his election campaign at Chakung ground, West Sikkim.
In his
document, Golay records that he is committed towards the aim of ‘Sunaulo
Sikkim, Samriddha Sikkim’ and will work with full josh and energy to achieve
his nine ‘Golay Ko Guarantees’ in the second term of SKM government. The coming
decade will be a golden decade for Sikkim, its progress and bright future of
our youth, this is Golay’s guarantee, he signed.
The ‘Golay
ko Nau Guarantee’ is a supplementary of the SKM’s election manifesto 2024
titled ‘Sunaulo Sikkim: Pratigya Patra’.
“These
guarantees encompass economic prosperity, a promising future for youth,
empowerment for women, a thriving society, robust healthcare, quality
education, elevated living standards, agricultural prosperity, and robust
social security coupled with effective governance. These commitments underscore
the SKM's unwavering dedication to uplifting Sikkim and align closely with the
aspirations of its people,” SKM spokesperson Yougan Tamang said in a press
statement.
On the
party’s election manifesto, the SKM spokesperson said the manifesto openly
addresses the multifaceted concerns of the Sikkimese society, encompassing
women, men, children, youth, and adults. From advocating for the rights of
government employees to supporting budding entrepreneurs and alleviating
unemployment, every aspect of Sikkimese welfare has been meticulously
considered, he said.
“The
‘Pratigya Patra’ released today epitomizes our commitment to fulfilling the
expectations of Sikkimese citizens, with party prresident Prem Singh Tamang
Golay's nine promises set to be earnestly realized. The SKM government operates
as a collective of intellectual, political, and social luminaries, united in
their dedication to the welfare of the people,” said Tamang.
