GANGTOK, : State Sports & Youth Affairs secretary Yangchen Doma Tamang, along with other officials, called on Governor Om Prakash Mathur at Raj Bhavan today.
During the meeting, the secretary extended a formal invitation to the Governor to grace the inaugural ceremony of the 8th North East Youth Festival 2025, which is scheduled from March 17 to March 20 at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok.
The Governor graciously accepted the invitation to attend the event and also extended his best wishes for the success of the festival, a Raj Bhavan release informs.
This four-day event will witness hundreds of youths from the Northeastern States, who will take part in various competitions. The festival will serve as a platform to showcase the talents of the youth from the Northeast and highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region, the release mentions.
