NAMCHI,
January (IPR): Renowned Indian
singer KailashKher has commended Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang for his
visionary efforts in elevating the JorethangMagheySankrantiMela to national and
international acclaim. Performing at the festival’s grand closing ceremony,
Kher and his band Kailasa praised the Chief Minister’s commitment to showcasing
Sikkim’s cultural heritage on a global platform.
Speaking at the event, Kher
remarked, “CM Tamang is like my brother, and his endeavour to promote
JorethangMagheyMela at the national and international level is truly
remarkable.”
He further highlighted the
festival’s potential to garner attention like other renowned festivals of the
country, emphasizing the importance of positioning the MagheyMela as a key
event in India’s cultural landscape.
Pledging his unconditional
support for Sikkim, Kher added, “I will always stand with Sikkim and its
initiatives.”
