NIT Sikkim team to showcase innovative solutions at Smart India Hackathon grand finale

GANGTOK,: A six-member team from the National Institute of Technology, Sikkim has secured a spot in the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon-2023 slated to take place at QIS College of Engineering and Technology in Vegamukkapalem, Andhra Pradesh on December 19-20.

Organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Smart India Hackathon serves as a platform for students nationwide to unleash their entrepreneurial spirit and contribute to technological innovation. With participation from 26 Central ministries, six State ministries and four industry partners, the event is set to showcase cutting-edge solutions to real-world challenges.

Expressing his best wishes to the selected team, NIT Sikkim director Prof. M.C. Govil underscored the significance of hackathons as a means for students to exhibit their creativity and innovation. Prof. Govil stated that NIT Sikkim is committed to exploring technological solutions that can positively impact society. He extended gratitude to the Ministry of Education and affiliated organizations for spearheading such a national initiative.

The six-member student team from NIT Sikkim includes Gaurav Kumar Singh, Anjali Kumari, Shruti Bharti, Pritam Sharma, Priyank and Abhijit Singh, collectively known as “KodeKraze.” Team leader Gaurav highlighted their commitment to addressing the problem statement 1409, an AI-based IT training system, by leveraging innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies.
