Series of inspections lined up to address JJM issues in Pakyong district

PAKYONG, (IPR): Agawane Rohan Ramesh, District Collector Pakyong, convened a meeting with officials from various line departments at the conference hall of DAC Pakyong today.

The meeting aimed to address the issues and updates of Jal Jeewan Mission (JJM) under the district.

The meeting had the presence of Sonam Zangpo Bhutia, DPO Zilla, Dorjee Sherpa, BDO Regu, along with officials from NHIDCL, AAI and BRO.

During the meeting, numerous issues concerning the Jal Jeewan Mission (JJM) in the region were thoroughly discussed and deliberated upon. It was mutually agreed upon by all parties present that an extensive inspection would take place, involving significant contributions from the Block Development Officer, Assistant Engineer Regu BAC. This collaborative effort would also include a team from the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) and the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

This crucial inspection event is scheduled for October 7 and will specifically focus on two key areas: the Rolep Lamaten Road and the Lingtam Phadamchen Road. The aim behind these inspections is to directly address the identified issues associated with the Jal Jeewan Mission, ensuring that effective solutions can be implemented in a timely manner.

JJM plays a vital role in providing household tap connections and enhancing water quality across the region, so these inspections are considered essential for maintaining momentum in the mission's objectives.

On the same day, there will also be a joint inspection conducted in coordination with the Divisional Engineer and Assistant Engineer, Pakyong BAC. This inspection will involve another set of stakeholders and will primarily focus on assessing the concerns related to the Jal Jeewan Mission at Pakyong Bazar.

Furthermore, on the same day, an additional joint inspection is slated to take place at Pakyong Airport. This inspection will include the DE and AE from the Pakyong BAC, along with officials from the Airport Authority of India (AAI).

In addition to the previously outlined inspections, it is essential to note that another significant inspection will be carried out at Menla on October 9. This inspection will specifically evaluate the multi-village scheme aimed at improving water supply and overall infrastructure. To culminate these efforts, a detailed report regarding all findings and recommendations is slated for submission on October 10.
