GANGTOK,: A large delegation from Sikkim attended Vibrant Gujarat Global
Summit 2024 organised at Gandhinagar, Gujarat from January 9 to 13, informs a
press release.
The
Sikkim delegation had Tourism principal secretary CS Rao, Commerce &
Industries secretary Karma R Bonpo, MSME director, GFPF managing director,
Horticulture secretary Tilak Gazmer and senior officials.
Prime
Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 10th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global
Summit 2024 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar on January 10. The theme of the
summit was ‘Gateway to the Future’ with participation of 34 partner countries
and 16 partner organizations.
The
summit is a platform by the Ministry of Development of North-Eastern Region to
showcase investment opportunities in the North-Eastern regions.
Multiple
industry captains addressed the occasion.
The
Sikkim Tourism principal secretary made detailed presentations during State sessions
on potential scope for investment in Sikkim.
The
Sikkim delegation actively engaged in B2G meetings with various firms who expressed
investment interests in marketing of Sikkim organic products, bamboo products
manufacturing and marketing, establish movie halls and star hotels in Sikkim.
The
State delegation also exhibited textile & wool products, handicraft &
handloom products, food products, pickles, orchids, Temi tea, etc. and received
business interests from various local business firms, the release informs.
