PAKYONG, (IPR): Agawane Rohan Ramesh, District Collector Pakyong, in the
presence of Sangay Gyatso Bhutia, ADC Pakyong; Thendup Lepcha, SDM (H.Q) and
Sandesh Subba, SDM Pakyong, launched the ‘Sikkim GO’ portal at the District
Administrative Centre, Pakyong today.
The
portal enables the people of Pakyong to have seamless and efficient access to
government services, eliminating paperwork and inconvenience. A total of seven
e-services for Scheduled Tribe Certificates, Scheduled Caste Certificates,
Other Backward Class Certificates, Primitive Tribe Certificates, Income
Certificates, Employment Cards and Firm Registration have been made accessible
starting today.
During
the meeting, the DC Pakyong enquired about the functionalities of the website
and urged the public to avail themselves of the services that have been made
available for their comfort and convenience and participate in bringing about a
digital revolution in the State.
Additionally,
the programme also aims to introduce payment services through online
transaction methods like Gpay, UPI and other electronic methods. Hence, it
enables the applicants to avoid the hassle of visiting banks for payments and
offices for submitting documents.
It may be
mentioned that citizens who are unable to undergo the process themselves can
also visit the DAC with their documents and get the application filled from the
helpdesk in single window.
The
aforementioned facilities under the Sikkim GO Portal, which has been developed
by the Department of Information and Technology, can be availed of by the
public via https:sso.sikkim.gov.in/account/login
