GANGTOK,: The Badminton Association of Sikkim (BAS) has announced Sikkim U-11
boy and girl players for the upcoming U-11 Mini Nationals 2024.
Organised by
Badminton Association of India, the tournament will take place in Thane, Maharashtra
from December 4 to 7, a press release informs.
While Avnesh
Chettri will compete in boys’ category, Suravi Gurung is named in girls’
category. They will be accompanied by two officials including chief coach
Sameer Gurung, who has prepared the players through rigorous training sessions.
Expressing
optimism, the Badminton Association of Sikkim stated, “We are extremely proud
of these young talents who have demonstrated remarkable commitment and hard
work. This national event provides a significant platform for them to shine,
and we are confident they will make Sikkim proud.”
