MANGAN, (IPR): Cloud 11 defeated Thunderbolt by 11 runs in the final match of T20 Open Winter Challenge Cup at Mangan.
The tournament organised by Highlander
Sporting Club, Mangan started on December 2 and had the participation of 29
teams.
The final was attended by Forest
minister Pintso Namgyal Lepcha as the chief guest. Also present were Mangan DC
Anant Jain, SP Sonam Detchu Bhutia, Mangshila-Tibuk zilla panchayat Amrita
Limboo, Ringhim Nampatam panchayat president Sherap Bhutia, Sikkim Cricket
Association secretary Rinzing Namgyal Bhutia, treasurer Mukesh Agrawal and
local spectators.
An exhibition match was also played
before the final where Mangan Veterans emerged victorious over Mangshila Tibuk.
On the occasion, minister also felicitated,
former Sikkim footballer Nim Tshering Lepcha, woman cricket umpire Lhakmit
Lepcha, Rinzing Namgyal Bhutia and journalist Kapil Manger.
