Sikkim students heads to Japan for Sakura Science Program

SILIGURI,(IPR): A group of students selected for the prestigious Japan Science High School Program, also known as the Sakura Science Program, had a memorable send-off as they prepared to depart for Japan. The students, chosen for their academic promise, enjoyed a breakfast meeting with Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay, who extended best wishes for their journey.

“The program is anticipated to be a transformative opportunity, broadening the students’ horizons and fostering connections with peers from around the world”, shared the Chief Minister extending his best wishes to the students.

The Sakura Science Program is designed to foster international exchange in the fields of science and technology, connecting youth from Japan and other nations. The students are accompanied by Roshan Sharma, PGT Physics who will guide them throughout the tour.
