PAKYONG, (IPR): Under the governance of Chief Minister Prem Singh
Tamang-Golay, UshaTamang and IndraBahadurTamang, residents of Teendharey East
Pendam GPU shared their success story of parenthood through the "Vatsalya
Scheme".
"Vatsalya"
is a women-centric scheme where an amount of Rs 3 lakhs is provided as
financial assistance for treating infertility through In-vitro Fertilisation
(IVF) treatment.
In
January 2023, the couple enrolled themselves in the scheme and was offered with
necessary support and resources for IVF treatment. They further proceeded with
the treatment in Siliguri and achieved a positive outcome, leading them to
embrace parenthood.
The
Chief Minister congratulated the couple, acknowledging their new journey and
extended his best wishes for their future endeavours. In addition, he announced
financial assistance to support the new parents as they embark on a new chapter
of their lives.
The
couple expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for his support and the
‘Vatsalya scheme’ that made their dream of parenthood a reality. They described
him as nothing short of a god.
The
remarkable success story serves as a testament to effective governance,
highlighting its commitment to strengthening and fostering economic and social
community upliftment.
