PAKYONG, : Chief Minister PS Golay on Sunday started his three-day Janta
Bhetghat initiative for Rhenock, a constituency of which he is also the area
MLA.
On
the first day, the Chief Minister engaged with more than 1,000 individuals and
groups of three GPUs viz. Budang-Kamarey, East Pendam, and
Bengthang-Pacheykhani.
Golay
arrived at Padamchey Government School, the venue for today’s public
interaction, at 9 am and spent the entire day till late night meeting the
people. Residents of the three GPUs including senior citizens, patients and
people with difficulties submitted their grievances and necessities to him.
The
Chief Minister assured to solve the pressing problems according to the needs of
the people like medical treatment, senior citizens’ grievances and public
issues.
Janta
Bhet Karyakram offers a valuable opportunity to connect with the public and
address their concerns, said Golay. Our government is committed to serving
people at their doorstep, and this initiative reflects our dedication, he
added.
The
Chief Minister was accompanied by minister MN Dahal, advisor Bishnu Kumar
Khatiwada, Pakyong zilla adhyaksha Laden Lhamu Bhutia, upadhyaksha Prabha
Pradhan Chettri, district officials, senior government officials and others.
On
Monday, the Chief Minister will be interacting with the public at Rhenock
bazaar and conclude his Janta Bhetghat programme on Tuesday at Guashala Bering.
In
a press statement, Chief Minister’s press secretary Yougan Tamang said the Janta
Bhet Karyakram of the Chief Minister is a people-centric
initiative designed to bring governance directly to the doorstep of the
citizens.
“It
aims not only to engage with the people of Sikkim but also to address their
concerns and issues in a meaningful manner. Along with the Chief Minister, the
heads of various departments from the Government of Sikkim are present at each
venue to address the concerns of the citizens, listen to their valuable feedback,
and attend to any grievances,” said Tamang.
