GANGTOK,: The Sikkim team
has reached the semi-finals of the Junior Girls National Football Championship
after topping their group.
Sikkim secured a 3-2
victory against Madhya Pradesh in the opening group match and triumphed over
Meghalaya with a 2-1 win in the second. Although the final match with SAI,
scheduled for today, would have been decisive, Sikkim topped the table due to
SAI's withdrawal, advancing to the semi-finals, informs a SFA release.
“This achievement is
particularly significant as it marks Sikkim's debut in the tournament, and we
have already made it to the semi-finals,” the SFA added.

dedication and passion of our junior girls have truly paid off. Reaching the
semi-finals on our debut is a testament to their hard work and the support of
the entire coaching and management team. We are incredibly proud and will
continue to support them as they aim for victory."
