GANGTOK,: Governor Om Prakash Mathur on Wednesday afternoon visited MG Marg
here. He was warmly received by Gangtok MLA Delay Namgyal Barfungpa, MG Marg
ward councillor Sandeep Malu and local residents.
As part of his
ongoing efforts to understand the needs and aspirations of the people, the
Governor engaged with local people and businessmen community members, inquiring
about the timeliness of meetings, communication, and the current tourism
inflow.
During his
visit, the Governor also visited various shops at MG Marg and interacted with
the traders. Notably, he stopped at a Temi Tea stall, where he spent some time
with the Area MLA and distinguished members of the business community while sipping
the famous Sikkim Temi Tea, a Raj Bhavan release informs.
While walking
along MG Marg, the Governor expressed his appreciation for the cleanliness of
the area. He stated, “The cleanliness and management of MG Marg are highly
commendable. It reflects the commitment of the local municipal corporation and
the people of this area towards maintaining a clean and green environment.”
