GANGTOK, (IPR): Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of
State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of AYUSH and the Ministry of Health
& Family Welfare, Government of India, attended the 'Rozgar Mela 2024' here
at the conference hall of the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Gangtok,
today.
The
MoS was accompanied by Dr. Sachin Parhad, Advisor to MoS, and Arjun Choudhary,
Additional PS to MoS. The day also saw the presence of Prabhakar Commissioner
cum Secretary Health and Family Welfare Department, Dinesh Kumar Director
General of Police (DGP) Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Dr. Karma Chaden
Bhutia Additional Director-cum-State Program Officer Health and Family Welfare
Department, GL Meena SDM (HQ) Gangtok District, Dr. Achintya Mitra Additional
Incharge Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, officers from ITBP, and
officials of concerned line departments.
The
MoS expressed delight to be part of the 'Rozgar Mela 2024,' which was the
vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India self-reliant and
self-sufficient by the year 2047. He welcomed the youths who received
appointment letters today and hoped that they will take responsibility towards
national development seriously. Further, he directed the new appointees to work
hard with utmost sincerity and contribute towards 'Vikasit Bharat @ 2047."
In his concluding remarks, he congratulated the newly appointed youths in
various sectors of the Government of India and thanked the organizers for their
invitation to an important event leading to national development.
Rozgar
Mela, which was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration on
October 22, 2022, aims to provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for
their participation in nation building and self-empowerment towards 'Vikasit
Bharat 2047.' On this day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than
71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits through video
conference.
A
total number of 80 youth received their appointment letters today through the
hands of MoS, Prataprao Jadhav, in Gangtok today.
The
Rozgar Mela 2024 will be held at 45 locations across the country today. The
recruitments are taking place for various ministries and departments of the
central government.
The
new recruits, selected from across the country, will be joining various
ministries/departments, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of
Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,
Department of Financial Services, among others.
