GANGTOK,: As directed by the party high command, Sikkim BJP president DR Thapa along with party workers joined the election campaign in favour of BJP Darjeeling MP candidate Raju Bista on Tuesday.
Thapa also joined the ‘Vijay Sankalp’ rally at Sukna, which was attended by the Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and senior BJP leaders from West Bengal.
With polling taking place on April 26, the Sikkim BJP appealed to the voters of Darjeeling to re-elect Bista for the betterment of the region.
Similarly, Sikkim BJP media in-charge Niren Bhandari and party workers on Wednesday joined the BJP campaign in Naxalbari in support of Bista’s candidature for Darjeeling Lok Sabha seat.
The rally was attended by Union MoS for Home Affairs Nisith Pramanik, BJP MLAs from various constituencies of North Bengal and Karyakartas across the parliamentary constituency.
