GANGTOK, :Sudip Pradhan of Duga in Pakyong district
has been reappointed as the independent director of Numaligarh Refinery Limited
(NRL).
Appointments Committee of the
Cabinet (ACC), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reappointed Pradhan,
making him the first Nepali and the only Sikkimese to achieve
such a feat at the national level.
Numaligarh Refinery Limited is
a Miniratna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the administrative control of
Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, operating a 3 MMTPA oil refinery in
Numaligarh, Assam.
Speaking with this reporter,
Pradhan expressed his happiness over being reappointed as the independent director
of NRL for the second time. He said, “It is a matter of pride, honour to serve
NRL under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. As in the past, I will
initiate all possible initiatives for the fostering of NRL.”
